She is beauty, she is grace. She will keep you safe in space. Paramount’s annual Star Trek Day celebrations opened with a new teaser for the final season of Star Trek: Picard; a season that will reunite the cast of the beloved Star Trek: The Next Generation as they voyage back out into the stars on the…

…well, that’s not the Enterprise, but she IS a beauty.

It’s the USS Titan! Captain William T. Riker’s “old” ship and his first command after leaving the Enterprise-E way back in Star Trek: Nemesis. As we saw in the first season of Picard, Riker himself is long retired but the ship is in good hands under newly-minted (as of the end of last season) Commander Seven!

I’m sorry, I lied. It’s the USS Titan-A. We don’t know what happened to the first one but since we know that Boimler’s on board its fate is probably sealed.

Proof!

The TNG crew will head out on the Titan to follow up on what sounds like a distress call from Beverly Crusher, a character who’s fate has been notably unaddressed during the previous two seasons.

In addition the new teaser, Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd announced that the final season of Star Trek: Picard will debut on Paramount+ on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner (notably absent in the trailer and supposedly playing a “new, old character”), Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd star alongside Patrick Stewart this season, and showrunner Terry Matalas has hinted at many more guests to come. Like, Tasha Yar!
